Tirzah Price

Tirzah Price grew up on a farm in Michigan, where she read every book she could get her hands on and never outgrew her love for YA fiction. She holds an MFA in Writing for Children & Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and splits her time between writing, bookselling, and knitting enough socks to last the fierce Michigan winters. Her name is pronounced Teer-zuh, and no, her parents did not make it up.

Tirza’s YA debut series launched in 2021 with Pride & Premeditation, the first book in the Jane Austen Murder Mysteries series from HarperCollins, which gives three of Austen’s beloved novels murder mystery makeovers. In Pride & Premeditation, named one of Buzzfeed’s best YA books of the year, seventeen-year-old aspiring lawyer Lizzie Bennet attempts to solve a murder case while fighting off feelings for her rival Mr. Darcy. Tirzah’s exciting debut was followed by Sense & Second-Degree Murder and Manslaughter Park in 2022 and 2023 respectively. The continuation of Lizzie & Darcy’s story, In Want of a Suspect publishes in November 2024!
