Rachel Mae Smith

Rachel Mae Smith is an internationally-known color expert. A lifestyle writer, photographer, and author of the popular blog The Crafted Life, the teaches people how to infuse color into their lives in ways that create joy and convey personal style. She is the author of Colorful Living (Ten Speed Press/PenguinRandomHouse).

Her work has been featured in the color issue of HGTV Magazine, Better Homes & Garden Magazine, Good Housekeeping Magazine, Today, Apartment Therapy, Refinery 29, BuzzFeed, Domino and more. She has also created original tutorials for brands including West Elm, Michaels, Lowe’s, Marie Kondo + The Container Store, Rit Dye, and HP among others. Rachel also appeared in a national television commercial for Michaels and designed a product line for Michaels with FIMO Clay that was sold in 900+ stores. Rachel is also the author of the craft book HELLO COLOR (Quirk Books), a DIY about how to make simple accent items for a personal space
