Natalie Bovis

Named one of Four Women Leading the Liquor Industry Natalie Bovis specializes in creating spirited culinary adventures. She founded The Liquid Muse in 2006 and has become a widely recognized mixologist, event producer, cocktail book author, educator, and beverage brand owner. Some of her awards include Nightclub & Bar’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” for her line of OM Organic Mixology Liqueurs, and “Local Hero” in Mixology in Edible Magazine.

While a spokesperson for beverage brands, she has appeared on dozens of TV shows around the U.S. demonstrating fun and easy of drink-making for home entertainers. Many of those cocktail segments include her Preggatinis (ie: mocktails featured in her 2008 book, Preggatinis: Mixology for the Mom-To-Be). Ms. Bovis has produced and / or hosted several video shows including “Inspired Sips With The Liquid Muse;” “Live From the Red Carpet” at the liquor industry’s annual international Spirited Awards; and “Digging In: A Recipe for Sustainability” featuring chefs and farmers. She is featured in the first episode of TrueTreps entrepreneur video show, released in April 2017 and, this Fall, catch Natalie making drinks for Curtis Stone’s TV show A Moveable Feast on PBS.

Ms. Bovis teaches seminars and judges cocktail competitions around the world. Her own signature cocktails and mocktails have been featured at celebrity baby showers, parties at the Playboy Mansion and even President Obama’s Inaugural Ball in 2013, to name a few high-profile events. Her book Edible Cocktails: Garden To Glass was hailed among USA Today’s “Top Ten Cookbooks of the Summer” . She is also the author of Cat Gods, Goddesses, Deities, and Demons: A Guide to Feline Folklore and Mythology and an accompanying Oracle deck as well as Drinking With My Dog: The Canine Lover’s Cocktail Book and Cocktails With My Cat (alls Running Press/Hachette).

Ms. Bovis created and produces the annual, multi-day New Mexico Cocktails & Culture Festival, where she brings top mixology luminaries to teach sold out seminars, features James Beard Award-winning chefs, and holds tasting parties benefitting various charitable organizations. After living many years in Los Angeles, Washington DC and abroad, Natalie is now snuggled back into her hometown of Santa Fe. Her passions beyond her professional liquid musings include cooking, volunteering for animal shelters and supporting children’s health and nutrition programs. She is at work on numerous new book projects.
