When Michelle Lee isn’t Dr. Lee, teaching composition and literature as a professor at Daytona State College in Florida, she’s writing magical novels about young people who believe in everything and are searching for the impossible. Michelle is an award-winning published scholar, fiction writer, and poet; has edited various academic and literary journals; and was twice nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Michelle also earned big fancy degrees from the University of Maryland and the University of Texas at Austin. But beneath the lines on her resumé, she’s all about bright sunny days, wearing dresses that twirl, listening to her eight-year old daughter sing, and spending time in cafés with her husband, whom she has loved through lifetimes.
Michelle’s debut middle grade novel, Between the Lighthouse and You, is just out from FSG/Macmillan in January 2022.
