Melissa Bahen is an author/mom/chicken wrangler/ gardener/recipe developer. She is the creator of the Lulu the Baker blog where she writes about simple food and modern country life. She’s also the author of Scandinavian Gatherings: From Afternoon Fika to Midsummer Feast. Her newest books, Farmhouse Weekends: Menus for Relaxing Country Meals All Year Long and Farmhouse Weeknights: Quick and Wholesome Recipes for Dinner (coming 2024) are published by Gibbs Smith.

Melissa lives on a small hobby farm in western Oregon with her husband, four children, two bunnies, 16 chickens, and her beloved flower and vegetable garden.
