Fida Ghnaim has been writing stories for as long as she can remember. When she was in kindergarden, she would write multiple letters and place them in the mail for her family to find. In elementary school, she wrote about her dog (that she had for 3 days) in a collection of stories from her class. At home she made funny memes and comic strips of her parents and hung them on the bathroom walls.
She graduated from Oregon State University with a BA in Human Development and Family Services and minored in Public Health. She loves having her nose buried in books on disease and history. Currently she works in the land of books as a Library Assistant.
Fida is a first generation Palestinian-American and draws her inspiration from her culture and roots. Fida believes in speaking up for others and standing up for human rights. As a former educator primarily focusing on Special Ed and a mother herself, she sees a need for more advocacy and support for parents with kids with special needs as well. She finds joy in empowering children and adults alike through storytelling. You can follow her on Instagram @_fida_writes.
